Nomination Guidelines

1. Nominations will be collected starting May 25th, 2020 9:30 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time and close on July 5th, 2020 at 11:45 p.m. (AST). No purchase necessary.
    
2. Facebook, Inc. is NOT a sponsor of this Contest and is in no way participating in any “Nominate Your Local Hero” activities. 
    
3. Nominations are only open to entrants who live in the Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. catchment areas. This contest is not available to employees of Seaside Communications Inc., or employees of Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. and their representatives, dealers, agents and those with whom they are domiciled. 
    
4. To enter a nomination, go to www.seaside.ns.ca/localheroes,  www.facebook.com/SeasideWireless, www.facebook.com/SeasideCommunicationsInc. If nominating someone on Facebook, enter a message in the “Nominate Your Local Hero” post containing your nominee’s name (if known) and why you are nominating them. If nominating someone on our website, fill out the nomination form.
    
5. Two random draws each will be made on June 5th, June 12th, June 19th, June 26th and July 6th, 2020 from all eligible nominations received by the day prior to each draw. Following each draw, the nominator/nominee will be contacted. Three attempts will be made to contact the nominator/nominee. If a selected nominator/nominee cannot be reached within 10 calendar days following the draw, Seaside will donate $100 to a local foodbank. Following the contest, the draw winners will be posted on our Facebook pages and our website.
    
6. The selected nominee must sign an Acceptance Form or acknowledge receipt of the $100 gift card as a condition of receiving the prize.
    
7. A selected entrant is eligible to win one prize only consisting of: $100 gift card for a local business.
    
8. Prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged with Seaside Communications Inc. or Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the winning nominee or their nominator. Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. reserve the right to substitute the prize which is, in their sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate, “Nominate Your Local Hero.” activities at any time. 
    
9. The odds of winning depend on the number of nominations received.
    
10. Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. assume no responsibility for failure of the Internet or the website during the contest period, nor for any problems or technical malfunctions of any Seaside Communications Inc. or Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. links.  Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend any portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. reserves the right to modify or cancel this Contest at any time without notice to the entrants.
     
11. If the identity of a nominee is disputed, the $100 gift card will be donated to a local food bank.
     
12. Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any individual that it finds to be in violation of these Nomination Guidelines or tampering with the Nomination process.
     
13. By submitting a nominee’s story, you agree to the publication of this story. By a nominee accepting a prize, they agree to the publication of their first name, story, and community of residence, without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. or its advertising and promotion agencies in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or on the Internet. All entries become the property of Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc. and shall in no case be acknowledged upon receipt. The decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on you without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entries.
     
14. By participating in this Contest, all entrants declare that they have read, understood and complied with the Nomination Guidelines and agree to abide by all decisions of Seaside Communications Inc. and Seaside Wireless Communications Inc., whose decisions shall be final and binding in all respects. ENTRANTS RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SEASIDE COMMUNICATIONS INC., AND SEASIDE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS INC., THEIR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, THEIR AFFILIATES AND RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, OWNERS, PARTNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, DEALERS, REPRESENTATIVES, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS FROM ANY LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST.
